You’ve indeed been fortunate. However, I’ve been in IT for over 20 years working for various enterprise organizations on a wide variety of projects and problem domains, and I’ve never used a language that was as sloppy and undisciplined as JavaScript. To put it bluntly, I do not trust this language. And I find it appalling that so much of the IT community have glommed onto this slop, as if they’ve drunk the Kool-Aid.

To make things worse, JavaScript has metastasized into nearly every corner of IT, including desktop, mobile, IoT, graphics, games, etc. It is absolutely frightening.
