Yes, there’s a lot of shit going on in the JavaScript world. However, I don’t miss it. I’d rather keep my programming environment relatively clean and simple and stable. It’s a colossal waste of my time chasing after all the latest developments in JavaScript technology (as you are starting to find out). Each new tool or library incurs yet another learning curve, which costs time.

I have shit that needs to get done. Don’t distract me.

There is very little, if anything, that I can’t do with my transpiled language. Master the tools you already have. There is merit and value in having a stable and reliable programming environment.

And besides, none of that cool new JS tech obviates the fact that JavaScript is a profoundly flawed programming language. A programming language is the single most important and crucial tool in my toolbox. It damn well better be a good language!
