Well said. This is exactly the kind of thing that helps to motivate people new to programming, as well as veterans in the IT industry (like myself!). For example, this is why I’ve devoted so much of my time, gratis, to worthy causes. Things like developing web applications and mobile apps.

I do find it odd, though, that your article has been published under the auspices of FreeCodeCamp. FreeCodeCamp only teaches programming with the execrable language JavaScript. Not only is it a terrible instructional language, it’s a terrible language for serious software engineering. They could’ve at least use Python or Ruby.
