Well, it’s not exactly a secret that JavaScript lacks proper variable scoping. ES6 purportedly will fix this with the “let” variable declaration, but I find this to be a silly feature added just to correct for JavaScript’s poor design decision. I have to now declare variables differently from how I normally declare other variables just so I can get proper scoping? Really? Why wasn’t this necessary nor desirable in C, C++, D, C#, Java, Python, Go, etc.?
