This statement is disingenuous. You cite Redmonk, which is half based on GitHub stats, as well as GitHub (Octoverse), effectively using the same data twice. The StackOverflow survey is self-selecting, which compromises its statistical validity. How many programmers around the globe chose NOT to participate in the survey? What percentage?

There are many other measures that show JavaScript NOT on top:

  • TIOBE: #7
  • PYPL: #5
  • IEEE Spectrum: #8
  • CodeEval: #6
  • HackerRank: #7
  • Trendy Skills: #2
  • Coding Dojo: #3
  • Indeed.com (U.S.): #3

I’m not calling you a liar but you are a bit sloppy.
