At any rate, this is a DOM/W3C issue only, not really a JavaScript/ECMA issue. Yes, it can’t be fixed by ECMA, but the problems with JavaScript go well beyond the browser. Remember that JavaScript is used on the server side with Node, as well as in the IoT, games, graphics, etc.
