The "super-compiler" that you envisage would have to analyze the entire code base all at once. It would take forever to compile a quarter-million-line program. It would have to be cutting-edge AI. And we won't likely see such a compiler before 2050.

By that time, something like ChatGPT and GAI will have replaced most programmers.
