My Debt to TechBeacon

Today is the 6-month anniversary of my TechBeacon Smalltalk article. In total, it has accumulated 26,500 views, if you include the 960 from Medium and LinkedIn where the article was “ghosted” (Originally published at techbeacon.com.).

Currently, it’s the third most viewed article of all the things I’ve written. But it may become the second most viewed in another week or two. At any rate, I’m very proud of it (in Donald Trump fashion).

The TechBeacon article was the inspiration for my “mini-campaign” last summer, my “second wind” if you will, after 2015’s unsuccessful Smalltalk Renaissance campaign. I leveraged the article for all it’s worth, in every which way, with tremendous fury. I pounded social media. I was vociferous on Quora. I reached out to Slashdot and The New Stack and Tech In Asia (the gateway to the Asian market — China, Japan, India, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia!).

To quote Archimedes: “Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world.”
