It won’t die. It will live on forever. It will survive climate change, a Yucatan Chicxulub-scale meteorite, and nuclear war. It is the COBOL of the Internet age.

When I was a young boy, I played with cockroaches in my house (yes, we were dirt poor); I didn’t know any better. However, as an adult, I find there is a yuck factor with these buggers. And so it is with JavaScript, as well.

This is just my personal feeling, which I am entitled to vent. As a veteran IT professional, I want to use a programming tool that:

JavaScript is none of these things. It’s a fugly language. It makes my skin crawl. It’s a toxic waste dump from which monsters and beasties emerge.
