It is absolutely true. Smalltalk is much, much simpler than JavaScript, both syntactically and semantically.

You don’t seem to know that ECMAScript 2017 has an 885-page language spec! This is f*cking huge!

JavaScript is riddled with numerous WATs and WTFs that have made it the butt of jokes for years. And these design defects have not been fixed by ECMA TC39.

Instead, TC39 have instituted “strict mode” and advised everyone to use linters and best practices. What a weaselly workaround!

So, yes, it is absolutely true.
