Instead of worrying so much about how fast JavaScript code executes (which for most applications is far from critical), why not fix the main issue with Node which is that it places a hard limit on concurrency? Node’s use of the single event queue makes it hard to compete with Golang or Erlang/Elixir, both of which can process countless thousands of transactions per second without wheezing. In Node, just one computationally-intensive thread chokes the entire system bringing it to its knees.
