I wouldn't count on that. Nothing remains the same forever. Programmers may be in demand now but things are starting to change. AI and automation may begin to eliminate programming jobs by the end of this decade.
The current crop of AI software is essentially first generation. The software will continue to improve year after year, by leaps and bounds.
The definition of your job may change. You may no longer code. You may become an "analyst" and a "facilitator" guiding programming bots. It won't be a fun job, at least, not for me.
