I see nothing in Clio that stands out. It’s just Yet Another Programming Language. I see no reason to waste my time with it.

Every year, dozens of new languages pop up and most of them never survive.

There are already a number of excellent candidates to choose from:

  • Clojure, a modern take on LISP
  • Dart
  • Elixir, an improved Erlang
  • Julia
  • Pharo, a modern variant of Smalltalk
  • Rust
