I have never claimed this. In fact, I concede that JS performance is extraordinary for a dynamically-typed, managed language. Only Java or C# can beat it.

But not everything in the IT industry is about performance. If it were, Python, Ruby, Perl, PHP, Erlang/Elixir, and all the various Smalltalks would fall flat on their faces.
