Go won’t win any awards for language design. It doesn’t have to, and it doesn’t matter. Go only cares about providing a practical tool for writing large-scale enterprise software. I believe it succeeds in this respect.

I don’t care about the hype, and I don’t know why you do. I evaluate the language on its own merits. I’ve read the docs and I understand the design rationale, and I agree with the design decisions. If you don’t, that’s okay. We are entitled to have different opinions and viewpoints.

I really don’t care about debating philosophy and religion. Either Go works and satisfies its mission, or it doesn’t. It may not work for you personally, but so what? No programming language works for everybody; that’s why we have language choices!
