Finally, you’ve written an article I can agree with. Previously, you were telling everyone that anybody can learn to “code” (I really hate the term). But that simply isn’t true. Programming is a challenging discipline that requires a certain degree of aptitude. Obviously, it’s not for everyone.

Can anybody learn mathematics, music, or chess? Well, not to any real level of competence. If you don’t have the aptitude, you’ll be a lousy chess player, or a poor musician, or a struggling mathematician. No amount of practice or hard work will alter your destiny.

By all means, if you’re interested in programming, give it a shot. What do you have to lose? But don’t feel disheartened if you can’t negotiate the hurdle. Not everyone can be a programmer.

Programming is hard.

(N.B. — Learning to program is not aided by choosing a dysfunctional language like JavaScript.)
