As a software engineer for over 40 years, I am very flexible and adaptable. I've used everything (from IBM mainframes and DEC VAX/PDP minis to Unix workstations, Windows, Mac, and Linux). I still remain with Windows because of the availability and quality of applications.

Recently, I had to repurpose an older Windows PC. First, I tried MX Linux. It could not support VirtualBox correctly.

Then, I tried Linux Mint. It could not recognize my Wi-Fi adapter.

So I returned to Windows 10. If an OS cannot work right out of the box, I don't want to waste my time with it.
